For Stevie at Whitehouse Grocers, as family run operation, community isn't just a part of the business - it's everything.
KeyStore Whitehouse Grocers are well known locally for supporting schools, organisations and regular customers always going the extra mile where they can. Recently, with support from the KeyStore Community Fund, the store donated £500 to Penilee Nursery, helping to enhance their outdoor space following a relocation. The funding will go towards building a garden area where children can grow and plant vegetables. Alongside a fun, Easter egg donation for each child. With nursery funding often more limited than schools, it's the kind of support that makes a difference locally.
For Stevie, giving back is simple:
When we help the community, the community help us
Supporting with local community initiatives and active within the area has supported Stevie to build a loyal customer base with an emotional connection. More kids are coming into the store, parents are shopping more local and stronger relationships are built.
Since becoming a KeyStore, the business has doubled, with community playing a big part in that growth.
A great example of how being part of KeyStore gives retailers more than just supply, it provides the tools and framework to be a local store at the heart of the community.
From community support, free delivery and real one-to-one business support, KeyStore helps independent retailers grow. Interested in what KeyStore can do for your store?
